Natural Weight Loss

Natural weight loss sounds very attractive to people who are too busy and does not wish to exert that much effort to lose the flabs. In other words, it is for people who would rather take an easier method of reducing weight than taking artificial chemicals that burn fat, or (gasp!) going under the knife to decrease the capacity of the stomach, thereby making the feeling fullness come quickly with just a few bites.

Now there are two types of natural weight loss: unintentional, achieved as a side effect of a disease or a medical treatment, such as hyperthyroidism or chemotherapy; and, intentional. Obviously it is the latter you want, and you achieve this through three methods: diet modification, exercise, and natural weight loss supplements.

You don’t have to adopt a new diet that can be too strict for some, such as Atkins or South Beach. You just have to be aware of the nutrients your body requires daily, according to your lifestyle. Once you know your body’s minimum daily requirements, all you have to do is meet those and eat no more. Of course you have to divide those amounts to the number of your meals.

Drink 8 to 10 glasses per day—more, if you can take it or your lifestyle requires so—and consume a lot of fiber-rich foods to help flush toxins out and regularly cleanse your digestive tract. Minimize sweets and fatty, greasy foods, but do not deprive yourself as that will only increase your cravings and make you eat more the next chance you get. Indulge once in a while, but make up for it on your next meal, e.g. if you eat three slices of pepperoni pizza for lunch, halve the lasagna that you’re going to have for dinner.

Exercising can be the devil for some people. It’s just too hard to keep the habit of hitting the gym an hour or two twice to thrice a week. But you don’t have to suffer for having to exercise. You can simply increase the amount of physical activity you do each day, especially if your work involves a lot of sitting or immobility, such as being a writer or a web designer.

Walk to your destination for errands, as appropriate. Use the stairs as much as possible, despite the existence of an elevator. Be faithful in doing household chores, especially cleaning the house and yard; you hit two birds with one stone: you burn calories and your place becomes more presentable.

Taking natural weight loss supplements is actually optional but is helpful. Supplements such as apple cider vinegar before every meal can make reaching your desired weight even more rapid. Some people wish to lose the inches to decrease the likelihood of acquiring diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, stroke, and cancer. Some do it simply to look better and therefore increase their self-confidence. Whatever your reasons and though it may take time and strict discipline, you can be sure natural weight loss can do your body good.
